The black box with blue labels is the VESDA system, which stands for "Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm". It is also monitored by our NOC personnel and will detect trace particles in the air that alert us to the presence of a problem before it becomes too serious. There are also monitors here for the UPS and generators.
